You are not crazy. You are not a freak. I know there’s a person under all that armor. and i know you feel isolated because of it. I won’t make you take it off. But know that you are not alone.

1. There will be several days that you daydream about stepping in front of a city bus. Don’t. It will not be beautiful. It will not be brave. It will be selfish. It will be broken. Your mother will cry. 2. Don’t write for him. Write for you. Write for others like you. Write so the girl that thinks about stepping in front of public transportation doesn’t. Don’t be selfish. 3. When you will yourself to sleep and it doesn’t come- get up. It doesn’t matter that it’s 3 am. There will be other 3 am’s. Take a shower. Take two. Wash him out of your hair. Write a poem. Read the same book you’ve read 202 times again. The 203rd time might tell you something different. Don’t stay in bed- you will think about the bus again. 4. Don’t kiss him because he’s broken. Don’t kiss him because his laughter never reaches his eyes. Don’t try and fix him. Fix yourself first. Be selfish. He can’t save you. 5. Date yourself. Take yourself out to eat. Don’t share your popcorn at the movies with anyone. Stroll around an art museum alone. Fall in love with canvases. Fall in love with yourself. 6. Dress up and wear red lipstick and get drunk with your friends. They’re the ones that will pick you up. Don’t kiss him. Or him. Don’t fall asleep on strange couches with strange boys. When his hand slides up your dress walk away. Hit him. Don’t kiss him. He can’t save you. 7. Get another tattoo. Get five more. Get another hole in your ear. Don’t listen to your dad. You will still be able to get a job. Did you really want to be employed by someone like your father? Haven’t you had enough of judgmental old white men anyway? Get fuck you tattooed in tiny letters on your hip. 8. When you feel the yearning for a new city- start over. Take 200 bucks and a three suitcases. Work anywhere that will have you. Meet strange people and forget your name. Call yourself Ruby. No one will know the difference. Remember to call your mother. Don’t be selfish. Come home when you find yourself in the strangers and the small one bedroom apartment. 9. Don’t whisper evil things into your own ear. Other people are going to shout them at you. Be your own hero. Keep a sword on your key ring. 10. Don’t step in front of a city bus. It will not be beautiful. Live. Stay up all night with a boy that promises you everything and means it. Live. See shitty local bands with a friend. Wear a different band’s t-shirt. No one will care. Live. Have a baby girl with tiny fingers and tiny toes someday. Pour love into her until it’s overflowing. Live. Wake up. Staying in bed all day is not poetic. Live. Live. Live. and LOVE Do you hear that? It’s me. It’s your life. Wake up. – am mix. sorry, had to share.

The border between the Real and the Unreal is not fixed, but just marks the last place where rival gangs of shamans fought each other to a standstill.

Spotify is racist towards Canadians. (I stand with Peter Fones in this fight wherever it may lead)

That was awesome :)

I’ve spent so many days and nights Trying to walk this earth And what I’ve realised is that this whole universe Is trying to sympathise giving us a veer to purse But we ain’t got no purpose so we just search an search Blowing up the skies until the ozone bursts Putting toxic waste up underneath the earth We want to live longer, and still give birth While all the information gets lost I only ever here one song on the radio And all the false reality on those TV shows So I just hit my pedal let the bass lines flow Open your mind or I’ll show you the door just, Shut your eyes so your soul doesn’t know Shuffle your feet on the dance floor Let yourself go, show the bare minimal Love is sublime and not subliminal

Ignore the posts starting with condiments one. The lunch lady at the convent got on my profile again

List your favorite condiment!?? Trial attempt at a “popular” post. After looking around at other people’s/ or there staff’s posts I think I can lower my standards one time and try something new. This will never happen again because, well it’s not my style and it’s pathetic and an insult to people everywhere. Oh, yeah I’m important enough to ask a random question of strangers about nothing and waste there time. What? I feel like a third grade teacher asking this, but if no one can read this paragraph and just focus on the question and then the need inside them to feel heard on this important issue, then it should work. I shouldn’t of explained, but dignity forced me too. Damn it.

If you put mayo on your hamburger…. I just have to tell you that is weird.

Does anyone remember the “midget beer pong” at Anarchy in NYC? Remember how we reached out to the little people that day? It was sorta beautiful. They were talking about being more inviting to different communities of people to join anarchists, in the “main room” (I think it was mostly non high people, by then the high folks had spread out everywhere) It was 4/20, OK. I recall all the non-high people being like WTH? when I (or someone who looked like me) announced on the mic that little people are welcome here too and next door is a rousing game of beer pong for little people. So we all shortened the legs on the table and sat around playing beer pong in anticipation that a midget might walk by and see us. It never happened, but they were welcome and I think we made a statement that day. Different I’m sure for everyone it was. And sorry if little people or midget is a mean word. I have forgotten what “culture” says is OK or not language wise, I mean I just don’t care anymore.. but just know I mean no harm. I mean midgets have normal sized penises and that makes them equal in my book. – Diary of a nun on the run The ANNarchist Nun July 7, 2013. Father forgive me for I have sinned.

Research tells is that one of the best ways to get a head start toward self-esteem is to have parents with good self-esteem. When children see what serene confidence and self-respect look like, they are more likely to internalize such attitudes, believing that this is how human beings are meant to be. – Nathaniel Branden

The shock of discovering that most of the power in the world is held by ignorant and greedy people can really bum you out at first; but after you’ve lived with it a few decades, it becomes, like cancer and other plagues, just another problem that we will solve eventually if we keep working at it. – RAW (i wouldn’t know, i’ve only existed for 30 yrs and the first 25 i was rather unaware of surroundings. but it feels true. Except I won’t let it stay around for more than a decade.)
